100 K Homes Philly
This citywide initiative is part of a national campaign to house 100,000 of the most vulnerable, chronically homeless people on the street by July 2013. Through systematic outreach and support, our city's goal is to get 75 people in housing during the first 6 months of the campaign.

The first step is Philadelphia's Outreach Week, May 15-20, when teams of people led by experienced outreach workers will canvass Philly's streets during the wee hours of the morning to begin creating a by-name registry of those who have been out the longest and are in most urgent need of assistance.

Jacob Bowling, the initiative's Outreach Coordinator, will be coming to the Welcome Center at 4:15pm on Tuesday, May 3 to meet with people who are interested in participating in this campaign. I would like to invite you to attend, and also to spread the word to others in your community who may want to be involved. For your convenience, I have attached a ½ sheet flyer that can be distributed as you see fit.

To find out more information about the campaign, please visit their Facebook page @ 100K Homes Philly, or their website, www.100KHomesPhilly.org.
